Preparations are well under way for the celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The celebrations will start with a muster for the Fancy Dress Parade at 12.45 pm on Saturday 4 June 2022 outside the Hotel. There will be 3 prizes: for best homemade costume for pre-school, primary, and groups.
Andrew and Heather at Clovenfords Hotel are going to do a BBQ from 12.30 (time to be confirmed).
Thanks to the SBC Jubilee Fund, we have hired 5 games which will be free for everyone. The coaches from the Mini Maroons are organising an obstacle course and there will be a tombola and raffle. There will be a craft stall where crowns and shields can be made as well as a prize for the best decorated cake – one for over 12s and one for under 12s.
Please hand in any tombola prizes at the Hotel before Wednesday 1 June 2022.
Between 4 and 5 pm, the Duck Race will take place at the playing fields on Caddonfoot Road. A programme and duck form will be put through your door shortly so please complete your duck form and put in the box at the Hotel, together with your money (£1 per duck), by Friday 27 May 2022. Alternatively, the forms can be handed in to Mrs Davie at Clovenfords Primary School, via the pupils.
Doors open at 7.30 pm for a Ceilidh to be held at the Village Hall. Numbers are limited, so please get your tickets in advance by contacting the Hall Treasurer: or 07515797629
