Saturday 15th August is a day not to be missed in Clovenfords. We have a range of community events lined up for you:
Litter pick
In the morning, ‘Keep Cloven Clean’ will be holding a community litter pick. If you would like to take part, please meet outside the hotel at 10am for gloves, bags and litter pickers.
Picnic in the park
At 12 noon, we will be having our 4th annual Clovenfords Magazine Picnic in the Park. This is a free event, with donations welcome towards the magazine. Come along and meet your neighbours. Bring your own drinks, and some food for the barbecue. (Picnic location map)
Defibrillator fundraiser
The resilient communities group has secured a public access defibrillator for the area, and is now setting a £500 target to raise funds for installation costs and an exterior cabinet.
Starting 6pm at Clovenfords Country Inn, an event will be held to fundraise for this, with a village treasure hunt, live music, and giant outdoor party games. There will also be a barbecue (pay as you eat), bouncy castle (pay as you bounce), and raffle (donations of prizes welcome).
